Kyangwali Refugee Club
Students
at Kyangwali Refugee Camp, led by two Educate! students
and another bright young man named Benson Wereje,
started their own Educate! club in the camp. The camp
was been quite successful so far and has raised over
$65 for Educate!. This is especially impressive considering
that these students fundraise through diggings, which
require intensive day long labor and pay only 33 cents
a day. Below we have their club mission and charter:

BACKGROUND
Educate! is an organization which was started by a
young American student named Eric Glustrom In the
summer of 2002 during his trip to Kyangwali and Kiryandongo
Refugee Camps in Uganda, he realized that most of
the people in Africa most especial ly in refugee camps
suffer from diseases, hunger, poverty , illitracy
etc... He came with an idea of providing underprivileged
students in Africa with the means to pay for their
education as the main solution to above given problems.
He has started Educate! Clubs in various Institutions
such as Amherst College, Fairview High school and
Boulder High School.
These Clubs consist of students who help to raise
funds for Educate! Educate! Club has stated in Kyangw
ali refugee Camp. On 5th /December 2005 it was introduced
by Daniel Muhwezi, Bahati Kanyamanza, and Benson Wereje.
It was named COBURWA KYANGWALI REFUGEE EDUCATE CLUB.
COBURWA It is just the short for the great lakes region
countries i.e. Democratic Republic of Congo, Burundi
and Rwanda.

in Uganda, we have came together to do our level best
to support the idea of our fellow and dearest treasure
