Why
Support Educate!?
Reasons
to support us:
- We
are completely changing the lives of numerous refugees
and getting students and adults alike involved in
an innovative fashion.
- We
not only take students who have thus far had very
difficult lives out of refugee camps, but we also
place them in some of the best schools in Uganda
and Rwanda and provide them with money for school
supplies, new clothes, travel costs, and medical
needs.
- We
believe that by involving students across the country,
we are inspiring students to learn how to get
involved in helping the underdeveloped world
and are starting a tradition in these students of
working towards humanitarian causes. We hope that
even if our club leaders and members do not get
involved in humanitarian work directly, they will
keep supporting such causes even if they are business
leaders, doctors, or teachers.
- If
you ask us to do so, we put you in direct e-mail
contact with the student to which your money is
going. You do not have to wait for weeks to hear
news of your student or to get a response to an
e-mail letter of yours.
- We
offer part sponsorships of students. You can help
sponsor a student for any amount and can receive
a letter from a student.
- By
getting involved in Educate!, students are learning
about leadership and how even small actions can
completely transform the lives of many.
- If
you so choosed, you, the contributor, have the option
to send money to the student yourself. E-mail educate@educateafrica.org
to find out more about this option. We will guide
you on what kind of requests are valid and which
ones are not and will provide support for any request
you have. Note that if you choose this option, due
to federal tax laws, your donation will no longer
be tax deductible.
