About Educate! Kenya

Mission Statement

Educate! Kenya provides impoverished students with scholarships for secondary school education to give them a chance to excel and become fully functional members in the Kenyan society, and in turn, empowers them to change the poverty they came from.

About Kenyan Education

Primary education (grades 1-8) is free of charge to pupils of all ages. The government, however, does not pay for the mandatory uniform, supplies and shoes, and many primary students need sponsorship to cover these costs.

Secondary schools, however, charge fees for education, supplies, food and board. Secondary schools require boarding, as most are far away from the students' homes.

Sponsoring Options

Primary school student scholarship-Cover a primary student's uniform, shoes and daily lunches. $10 per month/ $120 per year.
Primary school candidates needing sponsorship

Secondary school student scholarship- Sponsor a student's school fees (including education, food and board), transportation, and medical care. $40 per month/$480 per year.
Secondary school scholarship candidates needing sponsorship (I should be receiving 3 profiles for this page soon)

All payments, which can be tax-deductible, go to the Educate! Kenya account, where it is directly transferred to the school to ensure that none of the money is taken elsewhere.
If you wish, you may send the money directly to the school. Please contact Vivian for more information on addresses and the best ways of transferring money.
