MY LIFE EXPERIENCE

My name is Namwaase Sharifa aged 19 years. I am the 7th girl out of 17 children. We are 11 girls and 6 boys. I am from a polygamous and peasant family and this partly portrays the challenges I have faced as far as my education is concerned. I was in primary school from 1993 to 1999.

After primary I joined Mount Masaba High School in the year 2000. This proved so hard to me because fees were now the greatest problem. But with God all things are possible, I was able to gamble and complete my senior four and achieved a second grade. I will still praise the Almighty God because in the year 2004 I received a scholarship from Professor Marjorie McIntosh and Professor Richard McIntosh of United States. The scholarship has been very useful to me as far as education is concerned. I have been able to study without break offs except when I am sick.

FUTURE RPOSPECTS

My future plan is to get employment, develop our community, and to help my parents. I would prefer to study any of the following courses at University at Islamic University or Kyambogo University: Environmental Studies, Bachelor of Social Sciences, Education, Business Studies, Tourism or Information Technology
